Em inglês, como em muitas línguas, existem duas vozes: a voz ativa e a voz passiva. Na voz ativa é o sujeito quem realiza a ação e na voz passiva o sujeito recebe a ação, esse último é conhecido como sujeito paciente.Exemplos:They paint the wall. (voz ativa)
