Cinderella, fearing the possibility of being found by one of the prince's servants, and soon to be tortured by the wrath of her stepmother, decided to rush out the back door. The girl was desolate trying to hide until you sought for the owner of the lost shoe came to an end. While walking around the village avoiding to be found, Cinderella saw the prince's servants returning to the castle in the late afternoon to continue searching the next day. It was then that she saw the opportunity to steal the little shoe as soon as the footmen were distracted. Cinderella did not return home and waited outside the servants' room until nightfall when they all slept. The door to this castle room did not have a sturdy lock and was easily broken in, and soon the girl came into the dormitory on tiptoe so no one would wake up and she would get caught. It was not long before Cinderella found under the bed of one of the servants. As she picked it up, she withdrew as quickly as possible. When she got home she entered the back door quietly so that the stepmothers and their daughters did not notice her movement. Cinderella was in love with the prince and knew that without that shoe he would never find her, but he chose to throw it in the fireplace and let it burn to dust. A few days later, as he rode, the prince found Cinderella picking flowers in the woods. Both were happy enough to meet again and talked for hours. The prince decided to ask for the beautiful girl's hand in marriage. The stepmother and the daughters with anger, could do little since Cinderella went to live in the castle with her husband and they were happy for always.
