Simple past : usado para expressar uma ação concluída. O ED vai ser usado apenas no final dos verbos regulares. Seguem algumas regras:
verbos terminados em :
E - apenas colocar o D no final (dance - danced)
consoante + Y- troca-se o Y por IED (study - studied)
vogal + Y - apenas colocar o ED no final (play - played)
consoante + vogal + consoante- dobra a ultima consoante e coloca o ED no final (stop - stopped)
Past continuous: usado para expressar uma ação que estava em andamento.
Você vai usar o verbo to be no passado + ING no final do verbo principal.
Ex : I was learning - was = passado do verb to be / learn = verbo principal
* tabela do verb to be no passado
I am - I was
you are - you were
He is - he was
It is - it was
we are - we were
you are - you was
they are - they were
