Olá, Dudu313!
Usa-se WAS para as pessoas do singular, ex:
I was
It was
He was
She was
Usa-se WERE para as pessoa do plural, ex:
You were
You were
We were
They were
WAS é o verbo to be no passado (estava/era);
WERE é o verbo to be no passado (estavam/eram);
I was doing this. (Eu estava fazendo isso).
I was sick. (Eu estava doente).
We were traveling around the world. (Nós estávamos viajando ao redor do mundo).
We were really tired. (Nós estávamos realmente cansados).
