Regras :

1- Os verbos terminados em EE não sofrem alterações

Ex - To agree - agreeing

2- Quando o verbo termina em IE esta terminação por Y e acrescenta-se o ING

Ex-presidente To die - dying

3- Quando o verbo é monossílabo ou dissílabo e segue o padrão CONSOANTE+VOGAL+CONSOANTE (CVC) duplica-se a última consoante, por exemplo

Ex- To cut - cutting

4- Não são dobradas as consoantes W,X,E,Y

Ex- To snowing

Nessa regra se a sílaba tônica for a primeira, não se dobra a final, acrescenta-se somente o ING

Ex- To open - opening
