UN agency for children shows that more than 13 million children have been out of school in the Middle East and North Africa because of armed conflicts in the regions. According to the document, nine territories, including Syria, Libya, Iraq and Yemen, are experiencing the "growth of a generation far from the education system." Teachers and schools have also been scarce.
In the four countries where conflicts are fiercer, some 9,000 schools are unusable as teaching places, used to house people or being destroyed. In Yemen alone, more than 40% of children are out of school at the moment. Teachers have also fled, afraid of conflict.
