Afirmativo: verbo no passado, não flexiona pessoa, exceto no verbo to be.
Ex: I did my homework yesterday
      She did her homework yesterday
      He sang that song last night again
      We played tennis in this morning
      I was at school yesterday night
      They were happy.

Interrogativo: auxiliar do no passado (did) + sujeito da frase + verbo principal no infinitivo. Exceto no verbo to be.
Ex:
Did you do your homework yesterday?
Did he sing that song last night again?
Did you play tennis in this morning?
Were they at school yesterday night?
Were they happy?

Negativo: Verbo auxiliar no passado + not + verbo principal no infinitivo. Exceto no verbo to be. São bastante usadas as formas contractas didn't (did not), wasn't (was not) e weren't (were not).

Ex: I did not do my homework yesterday/I didn't do my homework yesterday
      He didn't sing that song last night.
      We didn't play tennis in this morning.
      I wasn't at school yesterday night.
      They weren't happy.

Q: Did you do your homework yesterday?
A: Yes, I did/No, I didn't.

Q: Did he sing that song last night again?
A: Yes, he did/No, he didn't.

Q: Did you play tennis in this morning?
A: Yes, we did/No, we didn't.

Q: Were they at school yesterday night?
A: Yes, they were/No, they weren't.

Q: Were they happy?
A: Yes, they were/No, they weren't.
