To me, freedom of expression means exactly what is stated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights:
"[...] freedom of expression is the right of every individual to hold opinions without interference and to seek, receive and impart information and ideas through any media and regardless of frontiers."
However, that is not to say that our right to express ourselves is something that we really are entitled to. More and more, these days, we are losing this right, be it via media or via PC warriors who try their best to keep people from exercising it.
