Brazil is a federative presidential republic, formed by the Union of States, Municipalities, and a Federal District, the exercise of power is attributed to distinct and independent bodies, submitted to a control system to ensure compliance with the laws and the Constitution. Brazil is a republic because the head of state is elected by the people, by mandate. He is presidentialist because the president of the Republic is head of state and also head of government.
