É legal traduzir como "existe / existem" porque você consegue diferenciar o singular do plural, diferente do que acontece quando você traduz direto para "há".
Da letra g até k, os objetos não aparecem na cena, então você deve dizer que "não há (ou não existe) o objeto x". "There is no" = "não existe" e "there are no" = "não existem". Da mesma forma, o que termina em "s" está no plural.
No exercício do texto, a ideia é a mesma. Dizer o que existe e o que não existe no "mundo que queremos". Tudo o que for ruim, não queremos. É só ver pela tradução se está no singular ou no plural. Ele compara com o mundo que temos hoje, dizendo que existem (há) coisas que queremos mudar. "There is / there is no" para o singular e "there are / there are no" para o plural.
