Resposta:2x+y = 6

xy = 20

Vamos isolar o "y"

2x +y = 6

y = 6 - 2x 

Agr vamos na segunda equação

xy = 20 

x.(6 - 2x) = 20

6x - 2x² = 20 >> agr arruma

-2x² + 6x - 20 = 0 >> simplificando

-x² + 3x - 10 = 0 >> inverte os sinais

x² - 3x + 10 = 0

b² - 4ac

-3² - 4.1.10

9 - 40

Δ = -31 , como vc é do ensino superior vou continuar a conta

-b +/- √Δ / 2a

-(-3) +/- √-31 /2.1

3 +/- i√31 / 2

x = 3 + i√31 / 2

y = 3 - i√31 / 2

Prova real:

xy = 20

(3 + i√31/2)(3 - i√31/2) = 20

(3 + i√31)(3-i√31) = 40

9 - 3i√31 + 3i√31 -i²31 = 40    -3i√31 e +3i√31 se anulam.

9 - i².31 = 40                   i² = -1  e daí que parte o conceito de i = √-1.

9 -(-1).31 = 40

9 - (-31) = 40

9 + 31 = 40 

40 = 40
