Complete each sentence about the Imperative . Write down the answers in your notebook.

a) The affirmative form of the Imperative is the same as the infinitive

with/without to.  >>> wrong. We don't use ''to'' in the imperative form.

Examples: Don't step on the grass!

                  Close the door!!

b) to form the negative form of the Imperative we simply put do/don't before the  verb  >>> wrong >> we use ''don't''

Examples: Don't close your eyes!

                 Don't talk to me now!

c) In the Imperative the subject (you) is/is not expressed >>> correct

Examples: Open the door !

                  Cut the grass!

Explicação:

O imperativo - como comando ou ordem - normalmente se inicia com um verbo e ponto de exclamação.

Wake up! It´s almost 6:00.

Listen! The train is coming.

Be quiet!

Go! It´s starting to rain!

O imperativo também pode:

dar um conselho: Be nice! (Seja legal).

fazer um oferecimento: Have some orange juice. (Tome um suco de laranja)

fazer um pedido: Open the window. (Abra a janela);

fazer um convite: Let´s go to the park. (Vamos ao parque)
