Anônimo: isn't; family; on; a; is; the
CremildaBR: ''hairdressers'' está no plural ;)
Anônimo: I know, but I was unsure of the context. If I'm asking.someone for directions to a hair salon it's very common to use the term "hairdressers" and they may say that the hairdressers is not here, it's in some other place. I'm being too colloquial.
CremildaBR: Hairdresser = singular (is/isn't) hairdressers = plural (are/aren't). That´s the correct grammar. I never heard ''the hairdressers IS not here''. But things change, right? After living in Texas for 30 years maybe I need to recycle my poor English. Have a nice day. ;)

Resposta:

1. Circule a palavra correta (em negrito).

a) The hairdressers aren't here.

b) My family  is in London.

c) There are ten candles on the birthday cake.

d) My cousin has got a new camera.

e) How old is your grandpa?

f) Let's go to the beach today.

Explicação:

hairdressers - cabeleireiros(as) >> eles/elas >> plural >>> aren't

My family - singular >>> is

on the - sobre o bolo (between >> entre)

a new camera >> ''a'' é usado antes de palavra com som de consoante

''an'' é usado antes de palavra com som de vogal

is your grandpa >> your grandpa = he >>> verbo correto é ''is''

to the beach >> para a praia (''an'' não tem sentido nessa frase)

CremildaBR: de nada ;)
