⇒⇒ Verbos regulares : são verbos que terminam em ''ed'' quando estão no passado .

I watched TV yesterday. >> Eu assisti TV ontem.

John worked last week. >> John trabalhou a semana passada.

She cleaned her room. >> Ela limpou seu quarto.

→  Se o verbo terminar com a letra ''e'' >>  acrescenta apenas ''d''.

love   – loved

smile – smiled

like    – liked

→  Se o verbo terminar com uma consoante + a letra Y >> substitue o ''y'' por ''ied''.

study  – studied

cry      – cried

try       – tried

→  Se antes do ''y'' houver uma vogal >> acrescenta o ''ed''.

→  Se o verbo terminar em CVC >> consoante + vogal + consoante - e esta for a sílaba tônica da palavra >> dobra a última consoante e acrescenta ''ed''.

→  Se a sílaba tônica for no início da palavra >> acrescenta apenas ''ed''

⇒⇒ Verbos ''to do'' - '''to swim'' e ''to be'' são verbos irregulares >> o passado não segue as mesmas regras acima.
