  • After months and months, I told my mom what happened. She was great and warned the bullies off, but it was too late for me and I ended up having a nervous breakdown when I was only 15 years old. So, if you have been bullied lately, however hard it may seem, you have to tell someone.

Present and Past Simple

O presente e o passado simples nada mais são do que tempos verbais na língua inglesa que se referem a um momento específico de uma linha do tempo sobre o que está sendo falado. Nesse caso, temos palavras no presente, ou seja, ações que ocorrem no momento da fala proferida, e no passado, isto é, ações que começaram e finalizaram no passado.

O passado simples se caracteriza basicamente pela presença de "ed" em verbos regulares, ou seja, verbos que terminam em "ed" estão no passado, além disso temos também o verbo to be no passado com "was" e "were".
