I generally wake up at 6:30 a.m. I brush my teeth and have breakfast at 7 o’clock. Then I put my suit and my shoes, comb my hair and drive to work. I start work at 8 o’clock. I work in a big company. I stay there all day. I have many friends there. I have lunch with them. After a tiring day, I usually come back home at 6:00 p.m. Then I take a shower, watch TV and read some newspaper. I cook something and I have dinner about 8 p.m. After I phone to my girlfriend and study a little English. Then I read my messages and answer to my friends. I go to bed at eleven o ́clock. This is my life and I am very happy.

Explicação:

Na terceira pessoa do Simple Present (he, she, it) existe 3 regrinhas bem simples.

1. A regra geral é acrescentar -s no final do verbo principal.

Exemples: like - likes

                 end - ends

                 interest - interests

2. Como todo o qualquer idioma tem suas exceções, no inglês não seria diferente. Verbos terminados em -ss, -sh, -ch, -x, -z e -o acrescenta no fonal do verbo -es para formar o Simple Present.

Exemples: kiss - kisses

                 wash - washes

                 watch - watches

                 fix - fixes

                 buzz - buzzes

                 go - goes

3. Se o verbo principal terminar em -y precedido de uma consoante, remove o -y e adiciona -ies.

Exemples: try - tries

                 fly - flies

                 study - studies

4. Se terminar em -y e for precedido de uma vogal, só acrescenta o -s.

Exemples: play - plays

                  stay - stays

5. A ultima regra é para apenas uma palavra, o verbo to have passará a ser has.
