1) TEXT: Dangerous Trip



Five men were working in the forest looking for gold and other metals. Peter was the boss and he was very angry because three of them were still out in the forest. Evening come and they slept worried about late comers. One of the men, John, was often making trouble for Peter. He wanted to be the boss.

In the late morning, Peter and George were ready to leave. Their friends seemed to be lost.

- They left in a lorry three days ago – said Peter.

- They’re really late – replied George.

George poured the tea into their cups and the two men drank it fast. Suddenly, they heard a sound of a lorry.

- They’re back – said George.

The lorry came up the rough track. It stopped next to the tents. John jumped out. He was a small man with brown hair. He was smiling. His behaviour was childish. At the moment, Peter concluded that as soon as they got back to the base, he himself had to make a choice to be in or out of the group. They themselves had to decide who was the real boss. It was sufficient for Peter!
