O Present Continuous é um tempo verbal, em que a ação está ocorrendo naquele momento.

Como: Minha mãe está assando um bolo agora.

My mom is baking a cake now.

Essa forma temporal também pode ser usada para o futuro

Como: Nós viajamos amanhã.

We are travelling tomorrow.

É muito simples conjugar um verbo no present continuous:

to be + verb + ing

Ou seja, se conjuga o to be, baseado no sujeito (eu, você, ele/ela, nós, vocês) e é adicionado o verbo com o sufixo -ing.

Exemplo:

Eu estou fazendo meu dever de casa neste momento.

I am doing my homework right now.

Há algumas regrinhas para conjugarmos, é claro:

quando o infinitivo do verbo terminar com a sequência consoante-vogal-consoante, a última consoante deve ser repetida, assim como fazemos quando conjugamos um verbo no simple past:

stop -> stopping

Para verbos que terminam com a letra y, adicionamos o sufixo após a letra, somente:

study -> studying
