Comparativo e Superlativo

Os comparativos na língua inglesa funcionam basicamente quando temos a intenção de comparar algo entre duas coisas, pessoas ou animais, mas lembrando que isso difere de comparar uma coisa com o todo, que seria o superlativo.

Com isso dito, temos que a estrutura do comparativo se baseia na quantidade de sílabas da palavra, por exemplo, se a palavra tiver até duas sílabas, ela é considerada uma palavra pequena, sendo assim, acrescentamos "er" ao final dela, já caso a palavra possua mais que duas sílabas, acrescentamos more previamente a palavra.
