Yesterday ..... Monday. John ...... at work because he went to his hometown after ten years.When he arrived there , he couldn't believe his eyes.It ............ completely different.There ............ a lot of cars on the roads and the streets ............ full of people.It ............ very crowded ten years ago.There ............ a lot of trees in the park in his youth ,but he couldn't see any. He looked for the small grocer on the corner of Apple Avenue , but he saw a big supermarket on its place.He and his best friend Steven ............ in the same school , and they ............ always together.He wanted to see the school building , but it was destroyed.There ............ any children in the old playground.The toys ............ out of order. He ............ very happy to visit his hometown because everything ............ quite unfamiliar and strange to him.

Yesterday WAS Monday. John WASN'T at work because he went to his hometown after ten years.... It WAS completely different. There WERE a lot of cars on the roads and the streets WERE full of people. It WASN'T very crowded ten years ago. There were a lot of trees in the park in his youth.... He and his best friend Steven were in the same school, and they WERE always together... There WEREN'T any children in the old playground. The toys WERE out of order. HE WASN'T very happy to visit his hometown because everything WAS quite unfamiliar and strange to him.
