sentido hipotético como na frase "If Mathias had the courage, he
would go on the roller coaster". ("Se Mathias tivesse coragem, ele
iria na montanha-russa"). Portanto, essa if clause trata-se de uma
hipótese que pode ou não acontecer.

Para a second conditional, o verbo condicional é usado no passado simples (simple past) e o da sentença principal
é acompanhado dos verbos modais (modal verbs) "would", "could", "might" ou "should".
Nota: os verbos modais podem aparecer na forma negativa na frase como would: would not - wouldn't should:
should not - shouldn't e could: could not - couldn't
A particula 'ir ("se") é a forma mais usada para as condicionais, mas "When" também pode ser usado na second
conditional quando admitir sentido de "sempre que" e "toda vez que".
