Explicação:
Much e many são quantificadores, sendo que much é usado para coisas 'não contáveis' e many para coisas 'contáveis'
Por exemplo, There's too much water in here! (Tem muita água aqui) Não dá pra contar quanta água tem.
Já em There are many Americans here. (Existem muitos americanos aqui) Dá pra contar quantos americanos são.
