Estrutura do Past perfect continuous  

had been + verbo –ing + complemento  

We had been talking for 2 hours when Mary arrived.  

Nós estávamos conversando há 2 horas quando Mary chegou.

David had been working since 8am.

David está trabalhando desde as 8 da manhã.
