There was not = = Não existia. Was there? = Existia?
There were not = Não existiam. Were there? = Existiam?
a. Separe as formas do singular no presente.

C. Separe as frases em Affirmative, Negative e Interrogative: There was

b)There were/There were not/Were there?

c) Afirmativas: There are two cows in the field/ There was dog barking

Negativas: There was not a open on the desk/There are not three

Interrogativa: Were there many houses?/ Is there one cat here?
