i would like to know the main difference between lexeme and word?

The lexicon is a kind of collection of words from a language, configuring itself, therefore, as one of those responsible for sheltering and representing the cultural heritage of a people. Language speakers are not able to completely master the lexicon of their mother tongue. This is because the changeability of the lexicon, its main characteristic, is a barrier for this to happen.
