   He said (that) he lived in Santarém.

b) He said, “I am playing Fall Guys”.

   He said (that) he was playing Fall Guys.

c) He said, “I have studied Spanish”.

   He said (that) he had studied Spanish.

 

d) He said, “I helped her”.

   He said (that) he had helped her.

⇒⇒  Indirect Speech  discurso indireto   - é quando repetimos, com as nossas palavras, o que outra pessoa falou. As duas frases, normalmente, são ligadas por ''that''. Note-se que nem sempre ''that'' é necessário no discurso indireto.
