Tereza: It’s not different. We have the same kinds of problems, such as muggings,

Patricia: Do you know what happened to my mother’s friend in São Paulo two years ago?
Tereza: What? Tell me!
Patricia: One night, at about seven o’clock, she was driving home from work when she

close to her car. One of them was carrying a gun and pointed it at her. They wanted
money and the watch she was wearing.
Tereza: Oh, Gosh! What did she do?
Patricia: She was scared to death and she told them she didn’t have any money, but they
could take her watch and her smartphone. It was not enough for them. They got into her
car and forced her to drive to the nearest ATM.
Tereza: Don’t tell me they were so cheeky! That was a “quicknapping”, then.
Patricia: Yes. And they spent about three hours going from one cash point to another to
get as much money as they could. She was really shocked!

Resumindo um pouco o texto:

Patricia estava lendo um artigo sobre a violência nas grandes cidades e isso a fez lembrar do Rio e São Paulo, e ela perguntou a Tereza como é a questão da violência na Cidade do México. Tereza disse que eles tem o mesmo tipo de problemas e Patricia começa a contar uma história que ocorreu com a amiga da sua mãe em SP. A história é meio longa, mas ela diz que os bandidos apontaram uma arma para sua cabeça, roubaram seu relógio e smartphone e ainda não satisfeitos, roubaram o seu carro também, levando ela até o caixa eletrônico mais próximo e roubando todo o dinheiro que eles conseguirem.
