1) As sentenças completas com o verbo to be correto são:

  • My name is Miguel.
  • I am Brazilian.
  • My parents are Americans.
  • My mother is an accountant.
  • I have one brother, he is 11 years old.
  • We are playing with our friends, Helena and Beto.
  • I am happy today.
  • My grandparents are coming to see me.
  • You are Brazilians.
  • Arnold and Peter are doctors.

Lembre-se que o verbo to be varia de acordo com o sujeito da frase. Portanto veja abaixo a forma correta do verbo to be para cada sujeito:

  • I = verbo am
  • You = verbo are
  • He/She/It = verbo is
  • We = verbo are
  • You = verbo are
  • They = verbo are

2) Para passar as frases para a negativa basta colocar o "not" após o verbo to be:

  • I am not Miguel
  • We are not Americans
  • My parents are not teachers
  • My mother is not an accountant
  • I have on brother but he is not older
  • We are not playing with Helena and Beto
  • I am not sad today
  • My grandparents are not coming to see me

  • Arnold and Peter are not doctors

3) Na interrogativa, basta colocar o verbo to be no começo da pergunta, antes do sujeito:

  • Are you Miguel?
  • Are we Americans?
  • Are my parents teachers?
  • I have one brother, but is he older?
  • Are we playing with Helena and Beto?
  • Are me and Carla studying English?
  • Are my grandparents coming to see me?
  • Are they Brazilians?
  • Are Arnold and Peter doctors?
