After the Industrial Revolution there was an extraordinary increase in production. This happened as follows: what was done by hand, notably consumer goods, began to arrive in the economy from machinofacture, which brought industrialized goods to the population on a much larger scale.

Among the changes that the Industrial Revolution caused in the lives of people in the city, we can mention: replacement of workers by machines; ... decrease in the health of workers exposed to excessive workloads; longer working hours.

The main ones are urbanization, demographic growth and the emergence of the working class, with the exploitation of work. Furthermore, there was a shift in the notion of time.
