Leia sobre o assunto Passado Continuo.

O passado continuo, é formado com o verbo To Be no Passado (was, were )mais o verbo principal com a terminação em ing. Ficando a frase assim: Sujeito + verto to be + verbo com ing + complemento da frase.

Ex: She was drinking milk.

Ex: They were eating apple.

Obs: Na forma Negativa, a palavra Not vem depois do verbo to be.

Ex: He was not read a book.

Obs: Na forma Interrogativa, o verbo to be vem Antes do Sujeito.

Ex: were you dancing in the party? Nas formas Negativas e Interrogativas, seguem a mesma ordem para frase no

Singular (was) e Plural (were).
