Qual a principal diferença entre o Present Continuous e o Past Continuous? O Present Continuous indica algo que está acontecendo no mesmo momento (presente) e pode ser identificado em sentenças onde houver a palavra "now", "at this moment" etc. Example: I am singing at school now. O Past Continuous é empregado em inglês quando objetivamos expressar a ideia de que algo estava em andamento, isto é, em progressão no passado. Também é muito comum o uso do Past Continuous para falar que uma ação foi interrompida por outra. Example: I was singing at school when Raquel arrived. Exercises: Change the phrases to the Present Continuous and the Past Continuous: a) Marx doesn’t work in Texas. b) Cris has played tennis with his teacher. c) Paul had eaten pizza alone when his mother arrived. d) I will study english . e) Fred sang very well yesterday. Teacher: Sérgio
