1. Trees are important because they clean the air we breathe by absorbing pollutant gases like carbon monoxide, dust and smoke. They also reduce the risk of flooding and landslides because their roots are deep down the soil. Another amazing importance is that trees give shelter and food to insects, mammals and other plants.
2. Every region has a diverse variety of plants. The best choice of trees to plant are those considered native trees, for example, in Northern Brazil, mango trees are pretty common, but these are unusual in Southern Brazil. Some environmental groups are planting fruit plants and flowers in major cities, hoping to bring back the bees and other insects related to pollination into urbanized places.  
3. It is important to have knowledge about the amount of water and sunlight that plants need, that is why it is important to ask for help or do some research before planting trees.
