People should think about the kind of trash they produce and the amount of resources they spend (water, eletricity, fuel...). To stimulate a conscious consumptiom we should emphasize how much time each type of good needs to dissappear on nature. Most materials needs lots of years, so talking about this we can see the importance of recycling. Here's another point: we buy a lot of things that we don't really need, so we are producing more trash that will affect the place we live, Earth.
