Can you write or read texting abbreviations?

Do you find abbreviations helpful? Why or why not?​

yes i can read some of those abbreviations such as gotta wanna or even brb, however i do not find abbreviations helpful since there are some people who may not understand them! and i prefer writing in a more formal way
