After the accident on the cloud island that occurred in the Jurassic World theme park, a genetically modified hybrid, called Indominus Rex, managed to escape and for this reason the park ended up being closed. In the movie Jurassic World: The World of Dinosaurs, released in 2015, this same hybrid was killed by the marine dinosaur Mosassauro. In the transition of the films of 2015 and 2018 some dinosaurs ended up dying, including the species Velociraptor if only one hybrid named Blue was left.

A certain inactive volcano of the island ends up becoming active again and is about to erupt, so remains the doubt: save or not the dinosaurs? An investor decides to create a rescue operation for the dinosaurs. He contacts Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard), the former theme park Administrator and Owen (Chris Pratt), the creator of Blue.
