Completando corretamente as lacunas de acordo com o Present Continuous ou o Past Continuous:

a. My brother and sister were playing tennis at 11am yesterday. (item C).  

 

b. Was Jane still working at 7pm last night? (item B).

c. Today I was driving to work. (item A).

 

d. We weren't sleeping when the police came. (item B).

O past continuous pode expressar ações que ocorreram no passado, assim como ações que ocorreram no passado, quando uma mais recente acabou de acontecer, no presente.

Na Língua Inglesa, o present continuous (ou o Present Progressive) em português, significa o presente contínuo ou o presente progressivo.

Estes são tempos verbais onde o verbo indica uma ação que pode estar acontecendo naquele momento, isto é, no momento em que se fala.

A utilização de advérbios no present continuous ocorrem bastante.
