Clima: deserts, heat and cold ... As a country located further north on the globe, Canada has almost all its cities, winters for colds.
But one of the perks of living in Canada is to live clearly as four seasons, in addition to cities like Toronto, Victoria and Vancouver, and summers and spring are usually warmer, allowing residents to also enjoy the country's great aquatic wealth.
Segurança: Even though it is a huge country, Canada is among the 10 safest in the world according to the Global Peace Index. In just 2 years, Canada jumped from eighth to sixth position. To get an idea of what that means, if we take Toronto, the homicide rate varies between 2 and 3 for every 100,000 inhabitants and in São Paulo for example, that rate is between 12/13 for the same 100,000, and if we go beyond , we reached almost 30 per 100,000 in Rio de Janeiro.
EDUCATION
In Canada there is no government agency at the national level that monitors schools, education is a responsibility of Canadian provinces and territories. This system proves to be so efficient, that the country proudly boasts a literacy rate of around 99%. To get an idea of educational quality, Canada has the highest proportion of working-age adults with higher education.
In addition, teachers are very well paid and the processes are highly selective, placing highly skilled professionals in the classrooms. Not only in compulsory schools, this standard extends to universities, complementary courses and languages.
What we accompany with our exchange students who choose Canada as their destination, is the great feeling of security of walking through the streets, this at any time of the day (and even during the night).
