Read an excerpt from a diary to write True or False. (2,0) Dear diary, It’s been a while since I last wrote to you. But I have a good excuse: I just came back from my trip to Italy. It was delightful. We spent ten days traveling through that charming country. First, we went to Venice to glide through the Grand Canal on gondolas. It was very romantic. We also visited the Basilica di San Marco, because Mark wanted to see this big church’s amazing byzantine architecture, and the Palazzo Ducale, a beautiful gothic building. Then we went to Tuscany to visit its hills and vineyards. I loved it, but Mark thought it was too rurally idyllic for him. I guess I have the soul of Alberto Caeiro, because I totally want to live there one day. Our final destination was Rome, of course. First stop? The Colosseum!!! It is impressively huge. I kept wondering what it was like at the time it was built, during the Roman Empire. We also visited Fontana di Trevi, and of course we threw some coins in to make a wish. We were very sad to have to come back. But that’s life. So that’s all for today. See you when I see you.
