Hello!

The number of girls in the classroom.

1️⃣First= Divide the number 16 with the denominator of the fraction (the bottom of the fraction)which is the number 8.

2️⃣Second= With the result obtained, multiply by the numerator of the fraction (the upper part of the fraction) which is the number 5.

16 ÷ 8 = 2

2 x 5 = 10

This is the number of girls in the classroom = 10

The number of boys in the classroom.

Now you just need to subtract the total number of students studying in the classroom from the number of girls in the classroom.

16 - 10 = 6

And that's the number of boys in the classroom = 6.

Answers: 10 girls and 6 boys.
