⟩⟩ Nas sentenças negativas usamos o auxiliar did junto com o not e o verbo principal segue no infinitivo sem o “to”.

  • I did not study
  • He did not work
  • We did not sleep

>> Usamos a forma contraída que fica didn't.

⟩⟩ Nas sentenças interrogativas usamos o auxiliar did antes do sujeito da oração e o verbo principal segue na forma infinitiva sem o “to”.

  • Did I study ?
  • Did he work ?
  • Did we sleep ?

⟩⟩ O verbo to be representado no passado por was/were não precisa do auxiliar did basta saber que no lugar que seria o did é o was ou were.

  • I was
  • You were
  • He was
  • She was
  • It was
  • We were
  • They were

>> Forma Interrogativa o was/were fica antes do sujeito da oração:

  • Was I ?
  • Were you ?
  • Was he ?
  • Was she ?
  • Was it ?
  • Were we ?
  • Were they ?

>> Forma Negativa o was/were após o sujeito fica com o not:

  • I was not
  • You were not
  • He was not
  • She was not
  • It was not
  • We were not
  • They were not

-- A forma contraída entre was not fica wasn't;

-- A forma contraída entre were not fica weren't;
