Você está aprendendo Present Continuous?

O present continuous é utilizado quando ações estão ocorrendo no momento de agora. Por exemplo, agora, eu estou respondendo a sua pergunta. São ações em andamento.

No inglês, para demonstrar esse tempo verbal é utilizado a estrutura TO BE + verbING. Mas cuidado com o TO BE, lembre que ele respeita o sujeito que ele segue.

Para perguntas o TO BE aparece antes do sujeito.

E para negativas você coloca o NOT do verbo TO BE.

Acho mais fácil entender com exemplos.

A frase EU ESTOU RESPONDENDO A SUA PERGUNTA, em inglês fica:

I AM ANSWERING your question.

I am NOT answering your question. (Negativa)

AM I answering your question? (Interrogativa)
