ESTRUTURA:

sujeito + verbo to be no passado (was/were) + terminação ING no verbo.

were / were not = you, they, we

was / was not = I, He, She, It

WEREN'T = WERE NOT

WASN'T = WAS NOT

(formas contraídas)

Exemplo: I was traveling alone yesterday.

Exemplo: They were waiting for him at the restaurant.
