Como conjulgar o verb to be no Past tense?
Past tense ou simple past tense, é a conjugação dos verbos em inglês no passado simples. O passado simples é um tempo verbal que indica uma ação que já aconteceu e não teve continuação.
Para conjulgar os verbos to be no passado devemos nos atentar a pessoa que o verbo está se destinando. Pois, se for a primeira pessoa do singular ( I ) e terceira pessoa do plural ( he, she e It) usamos o verbo "was" que é a conjugação dos verbos " Am" e "Is" do presente no passado. Já para a segunda pessoa do singular ( you) e primeira pessoa do plural ( we) e terceira pessoa do plural ( they e you) usamos o verbo 'were'' que é o verbo "are" conjulgado no passado.
Para passar esses verbos para negativa basta acrescentar o not, após o verbo conjulgado que fica:
- was+ not ou were + not
Ainda, tratando-se de negativa, pode haver a contração do verbo + not, ficando:
- wasn't / weren't
Já para formular frases interrogativas é só colocar o verbo antes do sujeito, por eemplo:
- Was I ?/ Were you?
Isso ocorre porque são normas gramatricais da língua inglesa.
Portanto, a conjugação do verbo to be para o simple past na negativa fica:
I was not / I wasn't
You were not / You weren't
He was not / He wasn't
She was not / She wasn't
It was not / It wasn't
We were not / We were't
They were not / They weren't
You were not / You weren't
Interrogativa:
Was I...?
Were you...?
Was he...?
Was she...?
Was It...?
Were we...?
Were they...?
Were You...?
