Ray Charles Robinson was born on September 29 1930 in Albany, Georgia, USA. He was an African-American singer, musician and a songwriter. He had a very difficult life when he was a kid because he went blind at the age of 7. after a glaucoma diagnosis. From that moment, he started to study music at school. He learned how to play the piano and the keyboard: Ray was active playing music since 1947 until he died and the composed jazz, blues, gospet and soul music Ray Charles had his best moment in 1960 and 1961 when recien and social conflicts were very common problems in the USA, in those years, he made docens of tours around USA and always ate barbecue with salad after every concert. But he had complications in Albany, his home town, when authorities ordered to separate the theater's public in one side, white people could see this concert and far from the stage, black people could sit and watch. Ray Charles Immediately canceled the concert after the authorities decision and became a figure of the African-American Civil Rights Movement.
