$x+5=-x-5\\\\x+5-5=-x-5-5\\\\x=-x-10\\\\x+x=-x-10+x\\\\2x=-10$

Chegamos onde vamos dividir ambos os lados:

$\frac{2x}{2}=\frac{-10}{2}$
