Dear ONU, we students from Brazil Riviera Garden State School of New Choices Magazine, with the letter to the notebook expert, came through this letter, an environmental problem question and relates the actions of Chico Mendes.
Francisco Alves Mendes Filho (1944-1988), better known as “Chico Mendes” was a trade unionist and environmental activist who fought Brazilian rubber tappers in the Amazon Basin, Whose livelihoods depended on the preservation of the forest and its native rubber. This ecological activism earned him international fame.
We can say that currently environmental problems tend to increase every day, the intent of this letter is to reinforce the importance that this problem may cause. Thus, we ask that give more attention to environmental issues.
